Elk... Nothing is closer to nirvana than a Happy Tails elk flogger or mop! We specialize in Elk! Our thick, supple, and fine-grained black hides are hand-chosen from hundreds of Scandinavian farm-raised hides, and make the most scrumptious floggers known to mankind! A customer and personal favorite!
Elk is available in red,and forest green, as well as black and chocolate!
The flogger to the left here is done in Brandy elk with a chocolate/brandy/chestnut tri-color handle. You can see the beautiful grain of this particular hide. We hand select for this kind of quality every time we do a hide buy. We go through hundreds of elk hides to find the best ones. We literally pile them up on large sorting tables, rejects on one, keepers on the other. The average hobby floggermaker doesn't get to choose like that, nor do most other pros...
Elk gives a very thuddy, 99% sting-free sensation. The 36-42 tresses of our "regular' floggers are 16 to 24 inches long, your choice, and we do have more than just 1/2 inch wide tails. Inquire about tails, if you want to know more about options.
Fat Elk "mops" of up to 70 tails are available (pictured right at 16 inches long, with 24 plait handle, $50 extra). Chocolate elk is shown, but we cannot get good chocolate elk as of Summer 2010, so we recommend you go with the premium black elk we CAN get. Mops can be done with our smaller handles to accommodate small hands, too! You don't have to have big paws to wield a Fat Mop!
Please inquire for price as it will depend on your exact needs. We recommend 20" or 16" tails for "fat mops", the overall proportions look the best, and they're the easiest to control.
Please note, the flogger above right, also feature a special 24 plait handle braid pattern. This is not a standard feature, but can be custom done for you at extra cost. Please inquire for more information.
